gaierhei is an interdisciplinary artist and math enthusiast who likes colorful things.
The scientific name Gaier hei is derived from an intentional misspelling of the German phrase geier hai, which means "vulture shark".
gaierhei primarily works in Blender and specializes in 3D modeling and rigging, with some experience with shader nodes, geometry nodes, and animation. gaierhei also possesses some skills in 2D digital art and animation.
Outside of the digital world, gaierhei creates traditional art with dip pen, graphite, and colored pencils.
gaierhei is an amateur math enthusiast and programming attempter. gaierhei is proficient in HTML and CSS, which were used to create this website. gaierhei also has basic coding skills in Python, which are used primarily for Blender. Outside of work on art projects, gaierhei self-studies analysis and topology and plans on becoming a math major.

A great enjoyer of free open-source software, gaierhei uses Blender to create 3D and 2D art projects including short films and short visuals. For static digital 2D images, gaierhei uses ibisPaint.
For sound design and music production, gaierhei uses Ableton Live.
Projects
gaierhei is currently working on two short films, one of which has been put temporarily on hold. The short film in progress is experimental and 2D animated, set to release within the next month on YouTube. It is also animated entirely with a mouse due to the absence of a drawing tablet and took a painfully long time to create.
